In AD80, the Emperor Titus opens the greatest arena in history to 100 days of spectacular games. The headline event: Rome’s two greatest gladiators are matched against each other, in a fight to the death. The barbarian Priscus and champion Verus have formed a close bond in the harsh environment of the Ludus, but now they must battle not just for survival, but for freedom.

COLOSSEUM is a 8x60 drama-documentary series uncovering what life was really like in the Roman Empire through the microcosm of its bloodiest arena.

Blending expert interviews and cinematic scripted drama, each of the eight episodes tells the true story of a single character whose fate was inextricably bound to the Colosseum.
